What is ProViva

The ProViva brand is a series of fruit and yoghurt drinks that offer a health benefit in addition to refreshment and fluid intake. As well as Vitamin C, ProViva contains probiotic bacteria known as Lactobacillus plantarum 299v (LP 299v) which has well documented health benefits. LP 299v is one of the few types to have been scientifically tested in humans and it has been proven to survive the journey through stomach acids to the digestive tract where it establishes itself and flourishes for a number of days. The ProViva culture has a documented ability to counteract harmful bacteria and a proven ability to remain alive in your intestines where it can counteract temporary stomach upset. In October 2003 ProViva, as the first probiotic drink in Europe, was approved as Functional Food.
