The Kalvin race

When Skånemejerier created “The Kalvin cross country” we never thought it was going to be such a success in just a few years. In 15 cities in southern Sweden more than 8.000 children were running in 2003. Organizer in each city is a local athletic club.

"Kalvin Cross Country" is a nine mile race for all school children between 6 – 12 years and every race has 12 categories, 6 for girls and 6 for boys. All young people who fulfil get a Kalvin T-shirt, a medal and a Kalvin drink after the race. 

The winners of each category meet each other in 12 finals at one of the most prestigious senior athletic competitions in Sweden, the MAI Galan,  with top athletes from all over the world participating.
